Siobhan Hargreaves
Siobhan Rose Hargreaves (née O’Connell), born August 15, 1983, was an Irish stage actress, theatre director, and acting teacher from Dublin. After training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, she married English literature scholar Alastair Hargreaves in 2005 and became the mother of twins Charlotte and Catherine in April 2007. The family moved to the Boston area in late 2006 and relocated to Baltimore in summer 2019.
Education and Career
Siobhan completed her classical-theatre training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2004. Her early professional work included West End plays and sung recitals in the United Kingdom. After moving to the Boston area in late 2006, she continued acting selectively, including Broadway work, while raising Charlotte and Catherine.
Siobhan later shifted more of her work toward directing and acting education. She directed youth theatre and taught acting without leaving performance entirely. After the family’s 2019 move to Baltimore, she continued working in theatre through directing, teaching, and selected performance rather than returning to a full-time touring schedule.
